What, no shades? You must have gotten those new UV-protective corneal implants, eh?

Yeah, my "Straight Outta Compton" "Jaunty Sportsman" (take your pick of modifiers) look is my attempt to compensate for the fact that my sunglasses were left in my office. Luckily, the wind didn't kick up (we made it to 11 degrees that day) AND I didn't get snow blindness. It was pretty fracking bright, but the Sugoi cap pulled low kept my ears warm and gave me a measure of eye protection.

Did you get hit hard by the snow too?

Eight, maybe ten inches of snow here, so not bad. The wind was really ripping, though, and it was/is very cold. BG cancelled school two days in a row. But we're sitting pretty compared to some other places, like upstate NY.

Did you say "it got up to 10," as in, "it got up to 10, so we decided to go out and take advantage of the warm weather?" (Cue sound Sideshow Bob makes when he has to rub Selma's corns.)

Actually, yes we DID say "omigosh, it's 10 degrees. We'd better get out and ski today." We've only gotten above 5 degrees maybe 3 days in the past month. My Canadian co-worker told me "we don't get this cold for this long in Fargo." It wasn't as bad as I imagined (and neither was BG), but we are happy to get to 20 degrees today.
